الملخص
إن بحث (الإمامة في الفكر السياسي الإسلامي) يتناول موضوع الإمامة في الإسلام الذي هو مصطلح آخر بعد النبوة، فالإمام هو المفترض طاعته على جميع المسلمين، فالإمامة زعامة وقيادة وإدارة ورعاية لأمور المسلمين فهي بذلك وظيفة كبرى وعظيمة بعد النبوة لأن الذي يتولاها يجب أن يتحلى بصفات الأنبياء والرسل وأهل العدل والدين لذلك كان الإمام مبجلا ومحترما ومقدسا لدى الناس، فهو الراعي لهم والمسؤول عليهم والحافظ لحقوقهم والحامي لأرواحهم وممتلكاتهم ومقدراتهم، فأصبحت وظيفة الإمامة بذلك لها مهام إدارية، وسياسية، ودينية، وعسكرية، واقتصادية، بل وحتى في بعض الأحيان قضائية لتحقيق العدالة في المجتمع الإسلامي والإنساني.
