الملخص

يتناول البحث مفهوم النظام البطركي عند الناقد الفلسطيني هشام شرابي، كما يتعرض لنشأة هذا النظام وعلاقته بالحداثة، وأهم تجلياته في التربية والتعليم والثقافة والسياسة واللغة، وكيف أن هذا النظام كان له الأثر الكبير في واقع المجتمعات العربية، وأن التخلف الذي تعيشه هذه المجتمعات يقف خلفه هذا النظام.


ويهدف البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على واحدة من الطروحات الفكرية المعاصرة التي تعالج مشكلة التأخر والتخلف في العالم العربي من منظور مغاير لما هو سائد من معالجات في الفكر العربي.
