دور الهيئات الكنسية في الحروب الأهلية السودانية (١٩٥٥-١٩٧٢)

الملخص
نتيجة لما تعرضت له السودان من الخلافات بين الحكومة المركزية في الخرطوم والأقليات الدينية في الجنوب دعي لتدخل الهيئات الكنسية العالمية والتي تمثل نشاطا إنسانيا كان موقف مجلس الكنائس السوداني خلال الحرب الأهلية الأولى (1955-1972) موقفا إنسانيا وسلميا ومدافعا عن حقوق الجنوبيين مع انخراط محدود في السياسة ودعوة دائمة للحوار والسلام ورفض العنف في بداية الأمر بعد ذلك توسع في الإقليم الجنوبي إذ أسهمت في دعم الجنوبيين في جميع المجالات كما عملت على إقناعهم بفكرة الانفصال وبضرورة تكوين دولة تحفظ للجنوبيين حقوقهم وتصون كرامتهم معتمدة في ذلك على مجموعة من الاستراتيجيات والوسائل من خلال إعطاء القضية بعدا دوليا والتي لاقت دعمًا وقبولًا واسعًا لدى الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية ، ويرى العديد من الباحثين أنه رغم العمل الإنساني الذي قامت بيه المنظمات الكنسية العالمية في مساعدة الأقليات الدينية في جنوب السودان والمساهمة في بعث التنمية في الإقليم الجنوبي إلا أن دورها بأهداف سياسية خارجية.
