Abstract

In this research, a study entitled (The Narrative Space in Mahmmod Darwesh's Poem” A café and You with the Newspaper”), which is considered one of his short stories from his collection (As Blossom as Almond or Beyond), and whose narrative space controlled its general structure, based on the dominance of one place, which is (the place of the café), which dominated the character and the course of the event. It tells the story of a man sitting with a newspaper alone in the café, no one pays attention to him, he sees people but no one sees him, and from the temporal flashback it becomes clear that he was a fedayee who carried out an operation against the Zionist enemy, and as a result he was exposed to assassination, so he lived in isolation, frequenting the café, but his isolation then turned into freedom and victory. The study was divided into two sections: the first: the structural form of the poem, and the second section: dealing with its narrative space.
