The contextual significance in the interpretation of (Al-Tibyan fi Tafsir Al-Qur’an) by Al-Tusi

Abstract

This research is concerned with studying the contextual significance in the interpretation of (Al-Tibyan fi Tafsir Al-Qur’an), and it is an attempt to reveal the importance of the verbal context and the current context in Al-Tusi’s interpretation. Explaining how this commentator viewed the phenomenon of context in the Qur’anic compositions. To what extent is this consistent with what contemporary linguistics has reached? The research has proven that contemporary linguistics, although it is one of the achievements of the modern era; however, it was not an innovation without precedent. Sheikh Al-Tusi was aware of the context, both the Essay context and Current context. He has adopted it in interpreting many Qur’anic vocabularies.
