The statement of mythology in the contemporary Arabic considerations Firas al-Sawwah/Khalil Ahmed Khalil As an example
Abstract
Our research aims to clarify the position of each of the thinkers (Firas Al-Sawah, Khalil Ahmed Khalil) on myth. The concept of myth is problematic in itself. Some agreed on the veracity of the mythical narrative related to religion in that it represents an object of sanctification and belief despite its topics transcending the objective mind and the sensory world and this type. Of thought, a person cannot do without it. By his nature, he is always searching for the secrets of the universe, life, and existence, and this is what the thinker (Firas Al-Sawah) emphasized. As for others, they are considered unreal and ideological narratives, closer to myth, and they were created only to exploit people and deceive them, and this legendary thought, in their opinion, restricts The mind and therefore behavior works for the benefit of the authority at the expense of the masses to maintain the class situation, and this represents the position of the thinker (Khalil Ahmed Khalil)
No matter how different opinions differ, they agreed that myth is linked to religion. They are unseen narratives and tales that explain religious belief to us and preserve it in our memory and imagination in a distinctive magical language. It is considered the third component of religion after belief.
