The Theological Discourse of Imam Al-Kadhim (Peace Be Upon Him): An Integrated Pragmatic Reading

Abstract
The doctrine represents a central axis with a significant impact on guiding people's lives. One of the most important topics in belief is an individual's perception of God Almighty. This subject contains detailed aspects that worshippers should know, understand, and strive to acquire. Hence, the theological discourse of Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) becomes a field of study and examination, using a modern methodological tool that seeks to look into the texts through a window of intent underlying the apparent meanings, and how to employ them in a rhetorical way.
Discourse is a speech act, and arguments must follow a plan and a hierarchical structure. Therefore, the research reveals the types of speech acts employed by the Imam (peace be upon him), his style of expression, and the structured construction of the arguments he presented in this field.
