Separate raising pronouns in Semitic languages a comparative linguistic study
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research deals with a comparative Semitic linguistic study of separate subject pronouns in four Semitic languages (Arabic, Syriac, Hebrew and Akkadian), in which we shed light on the most important characteristics of the separate pronoun, and its most prominent common characteristics by stating the similarities and differences grammatically and structurally between the aforementioned languages.
The research dealt with the general concept of the pronoun term from a linguistic and terminological perspective, in addition to identifying its cases and main sections (separate and connected). Our research, entitled, specializes in studying separate subject pronouns and the changes that occur to them when they are attributed to the subject, especially in the Syriac language.
