Abstract

This paper aims to study violence in Masialoon Hadi's novel (Mohammed's Brothers which is described as a novel dealing with contemporary events. It picks up the characteristics of violeuce and its effects in the society after the American occupation of Iraq in 2003.

This occupation is characterized by killing people, immigration by force, communal congestion and the division between the Iraqi society. The writhe named the novel "Mohammed's Brothers" reveals the intention of the writer to create national culture and unity in Iraq after the American oupation. The novel occurs within the scope of descriptive analytic approach since she is accurate in the description of the phenomenon under study and its analysis. The most important conclusions the study arrives at are represented by the revealana of the violence effect on Iraqi society since the Iraq human feels that he/ she lost his body, psychological disturbance, sufferings; losing his identity and rights, etc. body and psychologlacl violence is one of the prominent violence forms which most of the novel characters are exposed to and suffers from The novel focuses on the open areas transformations and showing the violence effects on city and the fate of its roads, streets, houses doors, gardens, etc after the American occupation to Iraq which resulted in city ruin in atrial to deleate it's civilization identity.
