Main Article Content
Abstract
Stylistics is a modern critical approach concerned with analyzing literary texts and studying their structural framework by highlighting recurring meanings in poetic discourse, revealing their semantic and aesthetic values away from impressionistic and psychological judgments. It examines texts through their three levels: phonetic, semantic, and syntactic. The focus of this study was the poetry of Ibn Abd Rabbih Al-Andalusi, one of the most prominent Andalusian poets of the 3rd and 4th Hijri centuries. His poetry is distinguished by its linguistic and lexical richness, profound semantics, and his ability to craft innovative imagery and meanings.
These qualities motivated me to select his poetry as the subject of my research, titled "The Stylistic Features in the Poetry of Ibn Abd Rabbih Al-Andalusi." This study aims to delve into his work, uncover its stylistic features and prominent traits, and analyze his texts through a stylistic and statistical lens at various levels.
