Scientific Hypotheses in Sociological Studies - An Analytical Study of Models of Theses and Dissertations in Sociology, University of Baghdad

Abstract
The hypothesis is considered an important foundation in quantitative social studies because it is one of the applied foundations that the researcher relies on in his study. Therefore, this study sought to provide a typical methodological vision for formulating and using hypotheses in theses and dissertations in sociology and was able to build a scale that includes these criteria for formulating the hypothesis and verifying it. It was used to analyze a sample of theses and dissertations from the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad. The study found that there were many problems in applying the correct methodology in formulating and using the hypothesis in the department's theses and dissertations and came up with recommendations to address these methodological problems
