Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of graphics in children’s television programs and the extent of their contribution to the enhancement of knowledge among the child audience. It seeks to identify how graphics facilitate the simplification of information, enabling children from various educational backgrounds to comprehend televised content. Graphics function as a medium that stimulates creativity and critical thinking, encouraging children to imagine within a realistic framework. Exposure to imaginative worlds and animated characters aids in idea generation and scenario development. Moreover, interactive programs utilizing graphics promote problem-solving and decision-making skills, thereby fostering analytical capabilities. The findings indicate that graphic-based programs support active learning, enabling better retention and practical application of knowledge. The study revealed that MBC3 is the most-watched channel among participants, followed by Spacetoon. The animated program “Mansour” emerged as the most viewed due to its informative content. A considerable portion of participants prefer watching children's programs incorporating graphics twice a week, primarily in the afternoon. Additionally, respondents expressed a preference for the entertaining and enjoyable nature of such content.
