Abstract
The present paper explores the extent to which the Iraqi public relies on online newspaper websites to enhance their political knowledge. The core problem addressed by the study is encapsulated in the central research question: What are the levels of the Iraqi public’s dependence on electronic newspaper websites for the development of their political awareness?
The objectives of the study can be summarized as follows:
- What are the key political issues highlighted by Iraqi electronic newspapers?
- Which electronic newspaper websites are most relied upon by the Iraqi public for information on political matters?
- What is the frequency with which the Iraqi public follows Iraqi electronic newspaper websites?
The research adopts a survey methodology, aiming to describe the levels of public reliance on Iraqi electronic newspaper platforms. This method is particularly suitable for a descriptive study that focuses on the tools, procedures, and approaches used in exploring the enhancement of political awareness.
