Agreement and Disagreement of the Most Important Kalam Sects

Abstract

 The research aims to state the authenticity of unanimity ( Ijma’ ) and the agreement and disagreement of Islamic Kalam sects ( Mu’tazilites, Ash’arites and Imamates ) about this concept.


      This study is an attempt to introduce a new view about unanimity, its authenticity and application. It consists of three main parts: the first introduces the definition of unanimity and the attitudes of Mu’tazilites towards it between a concurring and a dissenting. The second deals with the authenticity of unanimity in Ash’arites, that it is one of legislation sources and a decisive non-appealable argument for them. While the third part is about the attitude of Imamates towards unanimity that they disagree the authenticity of it.


     The study employs the analytic and inductive methods, that it collects the various opinions of scientists of Kalam sects from their original sources and compares between them.
