Abstract

The Moriscos are the remnants of the Andalusians after the handover of the Kingdom of Granada, and the research talks about how to propose to a Morisco woman, the formula in which the engagement takes place, the conditions that must be met for the validity of the marriage, the admonition of applicants for marriage, the celebration of marriage among the Moriscos, and the customs of serving certain types of food in these celebrations.


        The subject of the Moriscos in modern Arab studies has not received the necessary attention it deserves among Arab academic circles, nor is it a subject of appropriate evocation by Arab creators. As a tragic historical moment that still maintains its strong presence, despite the passage of more than four hundred years since its occurrence, the expulsion of Andalusian Muslims from their homeland after its conquest by their ancestors was characterized by tragic moments, especially after the victories And the conquests presented by conquerors such as the leaders Tariq bin Ziyad and Musa bin Nusayr, so that Andalusia was handed over to the King of Spain and his wife after the handover treaty and the accompanying procedures to prepare Muslims and give them the name Morsicans
