The primary issue of this research lies in identifying the communicative functions of the content published on the official Facebook account of the Iraqi Ministry of Environment. It also aims to explore the main topics of this content to clarify the communication strategy used by the ministry in publishing posts on the platform. Furthermore, the study investigates the key interactive elements employed to deliver its communicative content. This research is classified as a descriptive study, where the researcher applied a descriptive-analytical approach, using content analysis as the tool for the study. The analysis was based on the "What was said?" method to determine the main and subcategories for analyzing the content topics, and "How was it said?" to examine the interactive elements attached to the content on the platform.
The researcher selected the study population by examining the posts published on the official Facebook account of the Iraqi Ministry of Environment, by conducting a comprehensive inventory of the posts published between (1/10/2024 and 31/12/2024), which amounted to (399) posts.
