The poetic verse (Wait) by Tarfa bin Al-Abd, a critical rhetorical study

Abstract

 My attention was drawn to the abundance of critical judgments in the past regarding the poetic verse of Tarfat ibn al-Abd, which I called the verse of elegance. In this research, I tried to investigate, present, and analyze those judgments, and come up with scientific results related to the verse. The research is based on an introduction and preface that deals with the naming of the verse and the critics’ general view of it, and then lists the critical judgments. Which was launched at home and discussed in its appropriate places, accompanied by a conclusion showing the most important results and the sources on which the research relied, hoping for success in presenting the scientific material and in investigation and analysis, and from God, success.
