Textual Approaches in the Udhri Poem A Reading from the Perspective of Modern Criticism
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study stems from the distinctive nature of the ʿUdhri poem and its unique literary character, which oscillates between the depth of experience and the difficulty of encompassing its various dimensions through analysis, interpretation, and justification. The research thus adopts a relative critical perspective that sheds light on specific textual elements, focusing closely on the text itself without exceeding its boundaries. It seeks to reach a holistic understanding by reducing the spatial-temporal distance between the text and its producer, as well as between criticism and its recipient—an endeavor realized through contemporary textual approaches when engaging with the ʿUdhri poem.
