Abstract

Figures have played key roles in shaping historical events. One such figure is John Davison Rockefeller, who was able to change his life, inspire many of his countrymen, and advance education in a specific direction he saw as more beneficial to both the individual and society. He worked to develop vocational education, initially targeting the poor, but later becoming a destination for the rich before the poor. Through this research, we can say that John Davison Rockefeller is one of the most successful figures globally, not just at the local American level. He was able to amass a vast fortune through his personal efforts and reliance on his skills, which enabled him to succeed. He also intelligently contributed to building American society by supporting education, particularly in vocational and medical education, and by providing substantial sums to research centers. This reflects his being an upstanding citizen who used his wealth to serve his country without racial or ethnic discrimination
