Abstract

The linguistic approach is a fundamental pillar of contemporary linguistic research, as it constitutes the theoretical and procedural framework that guides researchers in studying and analyzing linguistic phenomena. The importance of the linguistic approach emerged with the major transformation that linguistic studies have witnessed since the beginning of the twentieth century, particularly after the transition from the traditional approach to scientific approaches based on precise methodological rules and clear procedural concepts. The approach in linguistics is not understood as a mere technical tool or procedure, but rather as an integrated vision that determines the perspective on language and directs the mechanisms of analysis and interpretation. In this sense, the linguistic approach has gone beyond being a means of analysis to being an intellectual system that establishes a specific method for understanding language, its function, and its components.
