Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examined images of women, highlighting their leading and pivotal role in societies in general, across diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. They maintain a continuous presence in various aspects, including the social, political, cultural, religious, and economic spheres. In our specific case, this study What concerns us here is highlighting the position of women in the elegies of the family of the Prophet, as they embodied a clear position alongside the man - Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and those with him - in captivity, hardship and struggle to support the Islamic religion. They were a clear example of leadership, sacrifice, strength, patience and chastity. After careful reading of the elegies of Sayyid Haider al-Hilli, the images of the Karbala woman were observed. The study was divided into three axes that illustrated the positions of this woman and her role as a symbol of the Husseini cause. These axes were preceded by a brief biography of Sayyid Haidar al-Hilli, followed by women and poetry
