Such goals can only be realized through an understanding of crime patterns, the mechanisms underlying their occurrence, and the circumstances surrounding each incident. For this reason, forensic anthropology constitutes a crucial field for studying crime and deviant behavior, as it focuses on examining the offender both internally and externally, as well as within their cultural, social, and environmental contexts

This study, entitled “Crime and Deviance: An Anthropological Approach to Understanding the Phenomenon of Rape”, is structured into four main sections. The first discusses the fundamental elements and key concepts of the research. The second addresses the theoretical history of criminal anthropology. The third examines the problematics of crime and deviance, while the fourth analyzes case studies of child rape crimes documented in various Iraqi police stations across different provinces. The study concludes with key findings and the most significant recommendations.
