Abstract

The current study aims to identify psychological flow among secondary school female students, and to identify differences in psychological flow according to the variable of study type (scientific - literary) in the city of Babylon for the academic year 2025-2026, with a total of () students. The researcher adopted Mihai Csikszentmihalyi (1990) as a frame of reference for the current study, while a stratified random sample of (400) female students was used for construction and final application. The researcher constructed a tool to measure psychological flow in its final form of (35) items. The psychometric properties of the scale were also extracted, including validity and reliability, as the reliability of the scale using the Cronbach's alpha method reached (0.90). The results of the study indicated that female students enjoy psychological flow higher than the hypothetical average of the scale, and that there is a statistically significant difference in psychological flow according to the variable of study type and in favor of scientific specialization.
