The value system and the effects of digital modernity and its soft power: An anthropological analysis of the patterns of Iraqi social structure
Main Article Content
Abstract
The soft power represented by digital modernity has played a role in the cultural annihilation of Iraqi society by promoting new cultural patterns represented by what is called (freedom, homosexuality, intellectual intolerance, drugs, atheism, women's empowerment, and gender reassignment). Social media has worked to crystallize these fundamental concepts, which have been set as a standard for Zionist-American normalization. In addition to the rapid change in social life, especially for young people who face profound cultural and social challenges, the rationality of modernity has worked to form a false instrumental mind. As a result, humanity is sinking into a new kind of barbarism instead of entering a new human condition. The reason is the technological age, where technology has become the ideology of the age, producing new forms of hegemony, an instrumental mind, and a false consciousness—a technological consciousness that stifles criticism and negation, silencing their tendencies. Therefore The Enlightenment and Modernity project is considered a culture of deception for the masses.
