Abstract
Metonymy is one of the rhetorical methods that carefully accounted and interest in language scholars, for their ability to provide a distinct meaning in an artistic way . One of these, Yahya bin Hamza alalawi top scientists (749 AH), who was his approach valuable study metonymy unique approach is different from what came before him from Rhetorics and scientists . Although alalawi adopted in dealing with the subject of metonymy in his book (the style containing the secrets of rhetoric and Science Facts Miracles) on what it says rhetorics who preceded him such as Al - jerjani and Ibn Al ether .. taken by , character scientifically accurate, it has taken up a detailed way and dividing them on according to many considerations and provid the explanations and explanations were not present before . This study came full of examples and evidence which varied between verses of the blessed, the Hadith and the rule of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) and Arabic poetry and proverbs .
