The Effect of Advertising in the Economics of Independent Newspapers

Abstract
Advertisement is considered an important communicative activity that newspapers and other mass mediameansdepend on in their economic financial funding in their journalistic activity to ensure the spread and development of their performance to guarantee its expansion andspread,and establishing the name of their press institution to increase the companies inclination towards advertising their ads on their pages in different topics and categories directed to their public. At the same time, the advertisement is influenced by economic conditions experienced by the communities in which newspapers operate and offer their content to the public, as it provokes directly onto the quality of the printed material, ideas and content provided .So from this point ,this research has conducted to illustrate the effect of advertising in independent newspapers economies in Iraq adopting the case study method to study the case of the Iraqi newspaper ' Al-distoor' and the effect evoked by the advertisement on the level of the press performance, especially after the financial crisis experienced by Iraq, which left its traces on a number of media organizations, printed and televised. The research has come up with a number of results :1.Advertisement represents the basis upon which' Al-distoor' newspaper depends on to fund its journalistic activity and progress with. 2.The Iraqi economic crisis has affected the economics of the newspapers in general, including' Al-distoor' newspaper and on the nature of its transactions with other countries institutions in the field of publication of the advertisement and the collection of financial returns achieved by advertising the ads
