Sir Henry Morton Stanley and his role in the Declaration Congo Free State 1876-1885

Abstract

During the second half of the nineteenth century African continent witnessed a overheated stampede at the level of exploration and evangelization campaigns, as a first step to the establishment of the European Countries Foothold on coastal areas. Sir Henry Morton Stanley (1841 - 1904) Was The British journalist and explorer originally one of the most prominent who contributed to campaigns of geographic exploration, and the European colonial activity in Africa. In this research highlighted the emergence of Stanley social and highlights of his life, and his trips journalist and exploratory, a journey years (1874 - 1877) to explore Central Africa, and a trip years (1879-1884) to detect the Congo, and its support ambitions colonial king Leopold II (1835-1909/ 1865-1909), painted features Belgian expansion in Central Africa, and culminated in the announcement the Congo free State.
