Sources of information used in the theses Of the Department of Home Economics College of Education for Girls: An Analytical Study

Abstract

The study aims to analyses citations reference found in Masters' thesis in the field of home economics. One of the hypotheses the study tested, is the disparity in number and form of information sources of different branches of home economics. Some of results of the study are the following:1-Researcher in the field of home economics, nutrition branch, use foreign language periodicals more than researchers in other branches in the field.2-There are several subject relations between home economics and other fields of knowledge.The researcher recommends the following : The acquisition of new information sources in the field of Home Economics. Training course should be held for researchers in using the internet to find new sources, and the central library of University of Baghdad making available the access to full- text databases.
