Tactics Manipulation in Adolescents

The aim of the current research is to identify:The manipulation tactics that teenagers use according to the variables of: Age (13-15-17) years. Gender (males - females).The total sample of the research consists of (500) male and female students from intermediate and preparatory schools, however, the two directorates (Karkh II - Rusafa II) are chosen using the proportional random method. In order to achieve the objectives of the research and after reviewing the previous literature, the researcher has adopted the scale of (manipulation tactics) which was prepared by Buss et al. (Buss et. al., 1987) after adapting the scale to suit the Iraqi environment. The researcher has also adopted the interactive theory of Mead (Mead,1934) The researcher has ascertained the psychometric properties of the two scales such as the validity and reliability, where the validity has been achieved in three methods of validity: (translation validity, face validity, construction validity). As for reliability, it is ascertained by using half split, where it is (0.82) for manipulation tactics. most important results of the research are: The Adolescents aged (13-15-17) use the dimension (attractiveness, explaining the reasons) more than other dimensions of manipulation tactics with parents. According to gender (malesfemales) teenagers are similar in their using of manipulation tactics with parents.
