Abstract

As the current research aims to know the effect of the imagination strategy on the achievement of fifth grade primary school students in art education.

 To reach the achievement of the research goal, the researcher adopted (the experimental approach) as it is the appropriate method for the research that aims to study the effect of an independent variable in a dependent variable, as the experimental research exceeds the limits of the quantitative description of the phenomenon, and it rises to the treatment of certain variables under controlled conditions to verify how they happen.

 In this research, the researcher has adopted the design of partial control of the two equivalent groups with partial control in some variables and a dimensional test, as the current research aims to know the effect of the imagination strategy on the achievement of fifth grade primary students, which requires two experimental and control groups, as the experimental group is studied according to the imagination strategy and the control group Study the traditional way.

 The current research requires selecting one school from among the primary schools in Baghdad, so that the number of the people of the fifth primary class is not less than three people, and the current research community consists of primary schools affiliated to the Baghdad Governorate General Directorate of Education for the first Rusafa, and it came out with a set of conclusions, the most important of which are:

1 - The use of the imagination strategy increases the process of understanding students in the subject of art education.

2 - The more the student uses mental abilities related to creativity, such as imagination and composition, the more the understanding process in the educational process increases.

The most important recommendations are:

1- Publishing the imagination strategy in primary schools through workshops.

2- Developing teachers ’methods by introducing intensive developmental courses to teach them imagination strategies and other thinking strategies.
