الملخص
يعد محمد فؤاد شكري مؤرخًا ومفكرًا مصريًا بارزًا، ترك أثرًا واسعًا في مجال الدراسات التاريخية والسياسية في مصر والعالم العربي، شغل مناصب أكاديمية ودبلوماسية، كرس حياته للبحث في قضايا التحرر الوطني والوحدة العربية، وتاريخ مصر الحديث، عُرف بدقته العلمية واعتماده على الوثائق والمصادر الأصيلة في مؤلفاته التي أصبحت مراجع أساسية لدارسي التاريخ الحديث والمعاصر.

والفرضية التي سنناقشها في هذا البحث هي أن محمد فؤاد شكري، جمع بين الفكر والعمل الدبلوماسي، واستطاع من خلال موقعهِ الأكاديمي أن يسهم في صياغة توجهات الفكر القومي والدبلوماسية المصرية حول ذلك إلى جانب جهودهِ الفكرية كانت مكملة لعمله في السلك الدبلوماسي.
