Academic ambition of university students

Abstract
This research aims to reveal academic ambition, as the two researchers adopted the (Ghulam, 2018) scale to measure academic ambition, as the scale consisted of (39) items. After extracting the validity and reliability of the variable (academic ambition), the researchers applied the scale to the basic research sample consisting of (300) male and female students from the University of Kirkuk, from the scientific specialization by (157) and from the human specialization by (143), and (145) males, and (155) females, and after collecting the questionnaires The data were treated statistically using the t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the two researchers reached the following results:
- The individuals (the research sample) have a high level of academic ambition.
- There are no statistically significant differences in the academic ambition between the mean scores of the research sample individuals according to the gender variable.
- There are no statistically significant differences in the academic ambition between the mean scores of the respondents according to the variable of specialization.
