Digital Transformations and Their Role in Predicting Crises in University Libraries
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the level of digital transformation in the Al-Mustansiriyah University Library and its impact on the library's ability to predict crises, in addition to identifying the technical, human, and organizational challenges facing the library. The study followed a descriptive-analytical approach, and the sample consisted of 25 library staff members. Data were collected using a questionnaire that included 20 items representing aspects of digital transformation, crisis prediction, and related challenges. The results indicated that the level of digital transformation in the library was positive, with a clear ability to anticipate problems and crises before they occur. The study also revealed the impact of technical, human, and organizational challenges on the effectiveness of digital transformation. Based on these findings, the study recommended enhancing modern digital systems, accelerating the adoption of digital technologies, developing training and administrative support, improving infrastructure, and addressing technical, human, and organizational challenges to ensure the effective use of digital transformation in improving library performance and anticipating crises.
