The kurdi Faili between their nation and sectarian

The research is concerned with a long-standing component of Iraqi society, they are Faili who living in several provinces in central and southern Iraq,. The study selected a sample of those residing in Baghdad to conduct the field study on two important factors, namely, their national affiliation as Kurds, and their religious faith by virtue of their loyalty (Ahal albait) according to Shi'a ideology. Through the results of the field research by distributing questionnaire , depth interview to some elites, and focal groups, the researcher found that the research sample prefers religious loyalty (social identity) to national affiliation (cultural identity).
